Bring at least 3 liters of water to a boil for 5 bunches of somen noodles, add the paraparilla and stir gently.
Boil over high heat, adjusting the heat so that it does not spill over. No need to add hot water (boiling time varies depending on fineness).
Drain the boiled somen in a colander and quickly rinse under running water, then rinse under ice water and drain thoroughly.
Even when served as "nyumen", please fir and rinse under running water once before serving.
